Hey Sarah!
Matty, I love you there's been people in the jury house who say that you've been a "floater". Do you think you're a floater? Why or Why Not?I am definitely
not a floater, but it was part of my strategy to make people underestimate me in this game, so I totally understand why people might perceive me that way. Hopefully, though, my opening speech and my answers to the questions so far have shown people that I was anything but a floater. Perception is not always reality, though, and I think the facts speak for themselves.
To me, a floater is someone who floats by from week to week. They don't win any challenges. They don't make any strategic decisions. They join whichever side happens to be in control that week. And they let the people around them tell them what to do. They tend to get complacent with where they stand in the game, and they usually only think about getting to the Finals... not about winning the game.
None of that describes me. I won more immunity challenges than anyone in the game. And like I said in my opening statement, I actually won more individual challenges than anyone in the history of the CbSurvivor series.
I made a lot of strategic decisions in this game. From deciding to hold back at the beginning so that people didn't see me as a threat, to choosing the best time to play my Triple Vote, to building relationships with the right people, to knowing when I needed to step up and win challenges, to deciding who I would vote for each round to put me in the best position in the Finals, every decision I made was to help me not only get to the end, but to win the whole game.
I hardly ever sided with the people in control each week. There were only 2 times since the merge where I voted with the majority, but both times I voted that way because it benefited me. I voted for Phillip when the tribes merged because the original tribal lines were pretty much equal at that point, and by voting out Phillip, it was one less Lantwan person in the game. The second time is when I voted for Na Onka and that was because the other target was Jenna, and I wanted to keep Jenna in the game. I felt pretty good about the relationship I had with Jenna, whereas Na Onka and I hadn't really talked.
Other that that, I always voted the way I wanted to. I never voted for someone just because
someone told me to, and that's something that even Jimmy and Julie can't say:
Matty...would have been gone at final 7 if it was up to me but to everyone else, there was always a bigger target. He was the roach I couldn't crush.
Joel on the other hand, I pushed to vote off however, I found out later that Jenna was secretly aligned with him and wouldn't hear of it. She kept telling me she would use her double vote and we could take him out whenever we needed to, but until then he would vote with us.
Both Jimmy and Julie let other people sway their vote at one time or another in this game. Jimmy says he wanted to target me instead of Na Onka at the Final 7, but the others convinced him against it. And Julie said she wanted to take out Joel earlier in the game, but Jenna talked her out of it. Me, I voted for exactly who I wanted each round, regardless of how people wanted me to vote. My targets were rarely voted out, but at least I stuck to my guns and voted for them.
Also, I never got complacent in this game. Ever. Yes, I won a lot of immunity challenges, but I worked very hard for them. In the final challenge, my final time was 31 minutes, and Carlos said the next closest person (Julie) was just under an hour. The other 2 didn't complete the challenge. In Challenge #13 (an endurance-based challenge), I posted 1173 times -- the next closest score was Jimmy at 800 times, and the others didn't even participate. Jimmy and Julie keep saying they had to fight so hard to get where they are, but if you look at the last 2 challenges, you sure wouldn't know it.
TO ALL
If this game was a horror film and people would die.. Please give everyone in the jury a role in the film, Explain why you gave the jury member that role in the film also be creative if you want to make a story line go right ahead Warning: The following contains some graphic material. Reader discretion is advised.THE PLOTAfter being voted out of the game by dynamic-less duo and real life BFFs, Jimmy and Julie, all of the jury members return to the jury lounge for one last evening on Outcast Island. Many of them spend the day lounging on the beach, swimming in the ocean, or simply soaking up the nice, sunny weather that Outcast Island is known for.
But as day turns to night, a heavy storm shakes the foundation of the jury lounge... By morning, 4 of the jurors will be dead, 4 of the jurors will get safely off the island, and 1 of them will be locked away for bringing a whole new meaning to the term, "Survivor."
Death #1Lex is laying outside in a hammock, doing what he did best in this game... sitting there doing nothing. He looks up, and off in the distance he sees a mysterious masked person dressed in black slowly approaching. The mysterious person has a giant axe in his/her hand, and slowly gets closer and closer. Lex watches. There's a bunch of people in the room next to him. Will he call for help?
Nope. He just sits there watching as the mysterious man swings his/her giant axe and chops Lex's head off. Oh shit. No one could have seen that coming...
Death #2The rest of the jury members are sitting inside... No one really notices Lex is missing. Everyone decides it would be fun to work on a jigsaw puzzle together, so they pull one off the shelf and start solving it. Anthony looks at the puzzle and screams, "60 PEEICES?!?! I CANT NO TAKE ANMYROE!"
Sarah looks at him with a puzzled (no pun intended) look on her face, and says "Don't overreact, Anthony... Puzzles are easy. Just read the instructions."
Anthony picks up the instructions and, to his horror, they're in English. Anthony shouts "THATTTS IT I"M PISSED IM OUTTA SLUT HERE!" and runs out of the room... Well, almost. He sort of missed the doorway, and instead, ran face-first into the wall... which caused the overhead bookshelf to shake, which caused an Anthonese-English Dictionary to fall off, hitting Anthony in the head and knocking him unconscious. The mysterious person in black shows up and looks at Anthony. He/she picks up the dictionary and beats him repeatedly with it.
Death #3Na Onka looks at the mysterious person in black killing Anthony. She stands up, clears her throat with a really nasty-sounding cough-snort-choking sound, and says, "Listen up... Peace Anthony. Looks like I'm on alert, now. Time to wear my good luck charm."
She goes outside, picks up Lex's decapitated head, then heads back inside and holds it up in her hand. "THIS is my good luck charm," she says. "Oh, and I will 100% be kicking this mysterious person's ass in 3 minutes. You all can do what you want with that info."
Suddenly Gillian stands up. "That's a good idea... we should all team up and kick this mysterious person's ass," she thinks to herself. She takes the next 3 minutes going around to everyone in the room, asking them to help kick the mysterious person's ass... Meanwhile, Na Onka (who initiated the idea to take out the mysterious person) just stands there and doesn't talk to anyone.
When the 3 minutes are up, Na Onka and Gillian go to attack the mysterious person with Lex's decapitated head... The rest of the jury members stand off in the corner. The mysterious person throws some elephant dung in Gillian's eyes, and then chokes Na Onka to death with a pair of socks that he/she stole from Jimmy.
Death #4With Lex, Anthony and Na Onka out of the way, the mystery person decides he/she needs one more victim. Even though Gillian attacked him the round before, he convinces Gillian to team up with him/her to kill one more person. The rest of the jury members look nervous, and take off running. They get to the edge of the jury lodge yard, and immediately they all start climbing over the fence. Sarah's the first one over, and she lands safely on the other side. Jenna's the next one over, and she too makes it safely and runs to the safety boat waiting near by. Misty climbs over with no problem and runs to the safety boat. It's just Joel left. He gets to the top of the fence, and then... oh no! His shirt is stuck on one of the chain links! No matter what he tries, he can't seem to get off the fence...
Suddenly, there's a rumbling sound coming from the center of Outcast Island... The mysterious person, Gillian and Joel all look around them to figure out where the noise is coming from. What's that?! From out of nowhere, there's an avalanche on Mount Matty, the volcano located in the middle of the island. Everyone thought Mount Matty was dormant, but it turns out there was a lot more to it than meets the eye. Suddenly, a giant purple boulder rolls through the jury lounge and crushes Gillian, killing her instantly. Jenna and Sarah rush back to the fence and help Joel off, then together the 4 of them leave the island in the safety boat.
As I'm sure you've figured out by now, the mysterious person was..... Phillip. Some say he was enraged because someone hid his favourite pair of undies. Others say the killing spree started when someone used the word "crazy". And others yet say he was still a little bitter that he was voted out without using his rewards. I guess we'll never know the exact reasoning behind the series of unfortunate events that transpired that dark, stormy night...
Thanks for the questions, Sarah! Not gonna lie, it was kind of fun hypothetically killing off jury members. Guess now I know why Jimmy and Julie had so much fun backstabbing people in the game.
