Hey Misty!
Thanks for the kind words! I do wish that I had gotten to know you better, but at the beginning of the game my strategy was to stay under the radar and not set myself up as a strong competitor. I decided not to be on AIM very much at the start because people who are very active/social players tend to get trapped in multiple alliances and be labelled as early threats. So I wish I had talked to you more, but at the same time, it was a strategic decision not to be social in the first few rounds, and in the long run it paid off.
So Julie & Matty and also Jimmy, In order to knew you guys better, please pick your favorite/answer for these questions1. Porsche or JordanI would definitely pick
Porsche. I feel like Porsche played a much stronger individual game than Jordan did. Jordan started the game with her best friend in the world inside the house with her. From the beginning, she had a huge advantage because she had someone that she
knew would never lie to her or turn against her. And in a game like Big Brother or Survivor where numbers are crucial, she basically started the game with 2 votes. Porsche, on the other hand, came into the game not knowing anyone and didn't have a pre-existing reputation to build off of. She formed relationships with people from scratch, and didn't have anyone watching her back for her. She sort of floated by at the beginning of the game, but when it came time to get off the fence and choose a side, she did. And she chose the side that she wanted to go with, not just the side that had the majority.
Plus, Jordan won 1 HOH Competition at the start, but then she never really amounted to much for the rest of the game. Even as the strong players were voted out (and you would think she'd have a good shot of winning), Jordan didn't win any challenges. When her partner, Jeff, was voted out of the game, she just sort of cried about it and gave up until she found a new partner, Rachel, to carry her a bit further. Porsche came off very strong in the first competition, but then she sort of fell off the radar while the stronger players battled it out. Once Danielle was gone, Porsche really stepped up her game and now she has won several competitions. She might not have won any competitions at the beginning, but she definitely won the ones she needed to. Don't get me wrong, though! I still like Jordan and think she's one of the sweetest people they've ever had on Big Brother. But from a gameplay perspective, I just don't think she did very much on her own.
2. Blonde or BrunetteI would go with
Brunette. I have nothing against Blondes, but I'm a little biased since I have brown hair myself.
3. Carlos or CateI would pick
Carlos. Cate has been a great co-host, and she made my confessionals look pretty sexy, but I have so much respect for Carlos as a host. I never realized how much time and effort goes into hosting a game like this. But Carlos always made sure things were posted on time, and gave people enough time to do things without stretching the game out too long. He made himself available on AIM, and responded to things on the board pretty quickly. He was a very dedicated host, and I like that he did some cool things above and beyond what the average host would do to make this game entertaining, like the Episode Guide.
4. Outwit or Outplay or Outlast? All three of them are important, but I would choose
Outplay because I think it encompasses the other two. To me,
Outplay doesn't just mean that you are good at challenges. Survivor is a game, and to play it you have to be strong at challenges, strong at the social aspect, and strong at thinking strategically to ensure you get to the Finals. To outplay, you have to do all 3 of those. Also, I think
Outplay reflects the attitude you have to have in this game. You have to be playing the game to win it, not just to get you and your alliance to the finals. You have to fight hard, and play to the best of your potential. And I think I definitely outplayed Jimmy and Julie in this game.
5. Cat or Dog?I would pick
Dogs. Dogs are very loyal pets, and when they want something, they go for it. I'll be honest, I don't know too much about cats, but when I was younger I used to take care of my neighbour's cat when they were away. I don't know if it was just that specific cat, or if all cats are like this, but the darn thing made Garfield look active. You could be sitting on the other side of the room dangling cat treats in front of it, and the cat would just look at you, then at the cat treats, then back at you (starting to sound like an Old Spice commercial), and then yawn and look away. You knew he wanted the cat treats 'cause he's a cat and cats like cat treats, but he wouldn't move an inch to get it. He waited until I came across the room and literally put the cat treat right under his face so all he had to do was tilt his head and open his mouth. Laziest thing ever.
On the other hand, as soon as my dog (his name's Striker, btw) hears/smells/sees or gets a sixth sense and somehow knows that food is on the horizon, there's not a person, thing or piece of furniture that he won't jump over to get it. So, I guess I just like that proactive "go-get-'em" attitude that you find more in dogs than cats.
Hope this answers your questions, Misty! Good luck with your vote!
