Julie's Opening Statement ~

Well, first of all I want to thank Host Carlos and Host Kate for a great game. Although it had twists I couldn't fully appreciate since it ripped me from my original tribe... (lol).. it was still enjoyable.

Secondly, thanks to all who played this game and made it as fun as it was.

On Lantwan, we had a voting majority alliance all lined up and the first challenge really showed us who was serious about playing and who wasn't. I worked really hard on the first challenge, wanting to prove to my tribe I was a team player, and then BOOM.. I'm on Klimbono... and a huge target. Fortunately Joel and I had talked some and he didn't want to get rid of me due to my performance in the first challenge.

My first alliance I made was with Jimmy. When I went to Klimbono, he told me things I needed to know to stay safe and I fed him information about Klimbono that would work to our advantage with their sending people to Outcast Island and such.

Until this last tribal when Matty voted me, I had no votes cast against me in this game and I feel that is a huge accomplishment. I also knew who the vote was for each and every tribal council for both tribes. We even knew we were going to have to do "Purple Rock" ahead of time.

Jenna and I formed an alliance and decided it would be her, me, Jimmy and Matty F4. This worked well for all of us. I trusted Jimmy more but the more i spoke with Jenna, the more I trusted her. She is one person I will continue to talk to after this game is over.

I made a bold move and sent Gillian to outcast instead of Sydney to get her voted out and convinced Lantwan to send Sara to Outcast, since she was Joel's target, or at least when I asked him who we would vote out, he said Sara first. So, i told Joel I would keep Sydney safe.. he went to bed. I finished the challenge and won immunity. I didn't keep my word, because it wasn't in my best interest at all.

Our alliance dominated this game. Once i found out Philip was going to vote me out, Jimmy and I knew what had to happen and so the first blindside happened. I felt bad because Philip and I talked quite a bit, and i was shocked to hear he wanted me gone

I feel like I played a good social game, aligned myself with good people and did well in challenges when it was necessary. I honestly feel like I have had to fight to stay in this game since after the first twist. I have fought hard and I'm thrilled to be here in the F3.

CLOSING STATEMENT:

I realize that the host didn't ask us to do this, but in most games you have the option of doing a closing statement, so i am doing mine because i feel it's closure.

I have answered all questions as honestly and completely as I think i humanly could have. I hope you all are at least satisfied with what you have heard from all of us in the finals.

I'm reminded of the movie "Vantage Point" where they saw what happened through the eyes of 8 different people who had witnessed the action, but each from their own perspective. While all of them are telling the truth, it appears as if they weren't watching the same thing at all..

That's kind of how Final TC is with the jury questions and explanations and it's up to the jury to figure out who really did play the best game.

One thing I will say, Matty is really good with verbage and making things look organized and pretty in his answers. That is the ONE thing that I will take away from this game to do the next time I make the finals. It's very impressive. Now... in my opinion, it's not enough for him to count on to win... but if you played an excellent game and also had that ability in the Final TC, it increases your chances of winning tremendously.

I love the game of Survivor. I have watched every season twice and I love to compete in ORGs. It's a passion that I have that I cannot control.

I have won games playing so many different ways... I have been:

• THE FLOATER - Just pick the majority and vote with them everytime, never taking a risk, or trying to make a big move in the game, basically floating your way to the end, them thinking that you couldn't possibly win.
  
  
• - THE CHALLENGE WHORE - I have played games where I have won all of the individual immunity challenges, and also just won the ones i desperately needed to win.
  
  
• - THE SOCIAL BUTTERFLY - The person who everyone talks to on AIM and you share personal things and people tend to trust you easily and you rarely gets votes at TC.
  
  
• - UTR (Under the Radar) - Where you are very strategic but are laying low at the risk of becoming a target. By the time the people realize you are actually a threat... BOOM, you're in the FINALS.
  
  
• - THE SLUT - Pretty much flirting your way through the game, using people and doing whatever it takes to get to the end. (this one is hard to pull off.. LOL)
  
  
• - THE VILLIAN - Pretty much making yourself a huge target so that people start to hate your guts pretty much ensures you make it to the finals.
  
  

There are more strategies, as you are all aware of, but those are the main ones I have used to win games.

In this game, I was Strategic, Social, Strong in challenges to prove myself at first, and fair.

I am proud of the way I have played this game. I got a couple of friends out of it.. people i can talk to outside of the game and for that I will be eternally grateful.

Thank you Jury for your dedication to try and pick the best person to call the winner of this game.
