It's Day 1, and Chet is already annoying as hell. I don't think I can take 40 days of "Oh mah staws, ah think ah just saw 2 lawbstahs gettin it ahn in that there cave ova there." If he keeps that shit up, I'm sending his ass home sooner versus later.
The rest of my tribe is alright. No real winners, no real losers (except Chet). They seem like an active group so far, but it's only Day 1 so it's still early. I'll wait to see who does what in the first challenge and think about making alliances from there. No point in making any deals this early because most of them don't work out in the long term anyway.
Definitely looking forward to this game, though. If I play my cards right, I think I can make it pretty far.

Let's see... I don't have any alliances, I haven't spoken to most of the people on my tribe, and I pretty much bombed the first immunity challenge. I would say I'm off to a great start! Coming into this game, my strategy is to be the dark horse. I want to be the one that everyone dismisses right from the beginning. At the halfway point, I might still be at the back of the pack, but by the end, I will be a contender to win the whole thing. To do that, I need to keep myself under the radar and let other people put targets on their own backs... like Joel. Don't get me wrong, Joel's a great guy and he's definitely a team player. But we've only been playing the game for 24 hours, and the dude's already made himself a threat. Not only did he score like 20 points on his own, but he was keeping track of how much time the rest of us had to wait before posting. Then he would remind us to post if we hadn't posted within a minute of when we were supposed to. I know he was just trying to be helpful, but micro-managing people like that in the first round can be dangerous. Then we have Chet, who's still annoying as hell, but he's active so we need to keep him around. But oh mah stawrs, I'm not sure how long I can take all of his damn expressions and innuendos. He seems to have caused some drama with Julie on the other tribe, though, so maybe he will self-destruct sooner versus later. Gillian seems nice, but she's the kind of person who will probably come out strong/active at the beginning and disappear at the merge. I would like to get to know JT. He seems like he could be a good person to align with, just because he's active but doesn't stand out as a threat yet. Mary, Misty and Sarah seem pretty strong in challenges. They could be key players to keep an eye on. Jenna is probably going to be voted out at our first Tribal Council. She's not very active, and moving forward, she could be a liability. Sydney's not much better than Jenna. She needs to up her game if she wants to make it to the merge.

It actually seems like I'm in a decent place right now... In the last immunity challenge, Joel and Sarah got into a fight over the vote. Apparently I was supposed to be the target, but then Joel started campaigning for people to vote for Sarah instead. Sarah found out, and called out Joel for backstabbing and lying to her...
Unfortunately, Sarah was sent to Outcast Island, and then the target was back on me. I talked to Jenna and Joel and we agreed to vote for Chet. Then Joel was going to get Misty on our side, and Jenna was going to get Julie on board. Obviously one of them didn't go along with it, but I'm not sure who.
Anyway, I used my Triple Vote reward, so I'm back on a level playing field with everyone. I know people think I probably wasted it last round, but the truth is, I didn't want to take any chances of being voted out and I am happy to get rid of it. Having a Hidden Idol or any other type of reward in this game just puts an extra target on your back, and since I'm already near the bottom of the totem pole, an unnecessary target is the last thing I need.
Anyway, another good thing is that Joel and Sarah both threw my name around as being a target -- right in front of the other tribe. So there's a good chance that the other tribe will want to send me to Outcast Island again to put a fork in our tribe's plans. If they do, I'll avoid our next Tribal Council and won't even have to pick a side in the Joel vs. Sarah fiasco. I might just need to lay low for the next few days and let other people put targets on their own backs.
